Annabelle3117's Journal, 04 March 2015

Good morning everyone, Day 3. I started my day by going to the gym for a thirty minute swim. It kicked my ass. I tried going on an empty stomach, which isn't exactly how I roll. Next time I'll get some food in me before I sprint out the door.

Good news is I had to take off my wedding rings in the pool because I was afraid they were going to fall off and be lost forever. A couple days ago they were tight so I'm definitely getting rid of that fluid retention. Another positive note, I need a new bathing suit. I don't remember when I bought this one, but it's definitely too big. It probably needed replaced last summer, so don't go thinking this is anything I've recently accomplished, but it doesn't hurt the self esteem that it's too large lol.

Not snacking in the evenings is hard for this girl. Snacking is my fave. Coming up with healthy meal plans is also proving tricky. I will do better when I go shopping again, but for now I have to work with what I've got. I'm not entirely sure that my calorie counts have been accurate, when I've got home recipes its hard to be sure. Usually I enter all the info into my cookbook before I even make something but I'm eating leftovers, so to late for that. Oh well, I'm just making the best decisions I can. Sometimes that's all you can do. And I haven't busted into the cereal, that's a win in my book.

I have an exam on cardiac meds tonight. I've been studying like mad for it so I'm sure it will be smooth sailing, but I don't want to jinx myself. That about sums up my day :)

Have a good one.

Good for you! I can't exercise and not have something small beforehand or I just have no energy, but if I eat junk before I exercise that's almost worse. I am a snacker too and I'm working on having healthy snacks in the evening, yogurt, fruit, nuts. It's hard, but you can do it. I'm just getting back here, so I'm glad to see your posts. You are such an inspiration to me because you're a strong woman. Good luck on your test! I'm sure you'll do great.

Glad to hear you're doing so well. I can relate on the wedding ring, mine fits much looser now too. Snacking in the evenings can be tough, I also can have a hard time with it. I try to save up calories to allow myself something...my kids got me a magic bullet dessert maker for Christmas so I've been making nice sorbets with frozen fruit and berries that are delicious and one Andes mint crushed up in it adds some chocolate mint flavor for just 25 calories. Might also be able to do something similar in a blender maybe? Good luck on your test tonight, you'll nail it. :)

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who struggles with eating at nighttime. But seeing everyone's messages are very encouraging.

Sugar free jello? Started back on that last night. See it wiggle, watch it jiggle.... sorry. Had to. :~)

I've resorted to chamomile tea with ginger in the evening to try and keep the snacks at bay. Works most of the time! Good luck with the exam today.

You will do great on your test. I am a snacker too. I get so irritated with myself even though I go for the nuts, yogurt, and fruit.

Yolanda ... you sound good! New bathing suit, skinny fingers, and not attacking the cereal box ... all good things on my list, my friend. It's good to see you writing ... and thinking .. and planning. Signs of being in the battle.
