Weekends are tough for me. At work, I can limit my snacking, and we're busy in the evenings, so I can limit the vino. But weekends, it's hard not to kick back. And then it all begins on Monday again. This cold weather and snow is getting to be a pain, but at least I can get out for some XC skiing. I keep reminding myself that it's not a fad or a quick fix but an overall and longtime commitment to healthy living. At least we have less junk food in the house! :)

Nice to see you ended on a positive note...weekends are hard for me too. With socializing and relaxing in front of t.v. I tend to be not as active. Especially after doing good all week, sometimes the guard comes down. I don't drink my required amount of water or get my exercise in and of course eat more ....uuugh...I sympathize with you. Let's make next weekend a better one. :)

I agree, weekends are tricky. But I think the cold weather is what makes it more difficult. I'd bet you can find times over the weekend to do a family hike or bike ride or something like that, which helps a lot. But in the cold that's just a bit harder. I think the long term perspective is important, as you said. You're making good progress in the long term, so a little slippage on the weekend isn't too detrimental. Good work keeping less junk food-- we have tons of cookies and sweets and stuff in the house and it takes a lot of will power for me to avoid or limit it! Sending you lots of support to make it through the long winter. :)
