Janelleas's Journal, 13 June 2011

'm going to try to get my weigh-in tomorrow. This morning my hubby was sleeping in and I got dressed and out the door before I remembered to weigh in. I think weighing in first thing in the morning is what I have been doing so didn't even want to look at the scale after breakfast and almost mid-day now.
As for the late night eating, I definitely see a difference between nights I snack and nights I quit snacking by 9pm (we are the late nite eater's group with dinner at 7-8pm). On the days I do not snack at night my weigh is down, on the days I eat later than 9pm my weight is up on that morning, a definite sign!
I appreciate my friends joining me on this quest. Im sure the late nite snacking is our #1 problem, not to mention the extra calories per day. I'm trying hard to keep my nite time snack to 100 calories or less. SF Fudge-cycles are great but I'm getting tired of them. Its Overkill on the fudge-cycles. I think the SF jello and puddings are boring. I do like the South Beach recipes for custard and the one here on the recipes for the pumpkin custard. Just too lazy to make them most of the time. Also because I like them so much I don't want to stop with just one! It's like asking me to eat just ONE peanut. I am avoiding those types of trigger foods.
How are you all doing this week?? I'll check in tomorrow with my weight.

Yes-weighing self first thing is way to go...I got so sick of fudgesicles too BUT they are great for that chocolate hit. Sometimes, I scrape the bar into a small bowl and mix in a tiny bit of chunky peanut butter. Delicious and very satisfying. What about nonfat greek yogurt with a handful of berries? I like to mash up a few berries to make a chunky sauce to put on top of the yogurt. Having it tonight with some over-ripe bits of peach. Even better with a few pieces of lowfat granola or kashi cereal to give it some crunch. Fingers crossed for the weigh in!

We are so similar it's scary. I was doing better but it all went somewhere else on the weekend. Right now I'm avoiding fudgesicles since I thought I was getting addictive... eating multiples. I'm trying popsicles but don't love, you are right it is lacking that chocolate. I also love plain yogurt with fruit & cereal. Major issue with nuts, including peanut butter. I've lost that willpower to say no and watch the portion size. Try again this week. Good luck!
