aggie95's Journal, 25 February 2015

It was finally nice outside today to go for a run at lunchtime. Nice in that the wind wasn't nasty and the sun was shining. Temperatures are still pretty cold here but it was tolerable. I checked and the last time I went for a run outside was 2 weeks to the day! It felt good to go for a run. My time wasn't the greatest but it was nice to be out!!!

All things food - lately I've been getting into the bad carbs. Things like M&Ms with peanuts, crackers, doritos. Sigh! Comfort food for the winter blahs!!

Anyway, back to the grind!! Cheers!!

You are so awesome to go run in the cold! I'm too wimpy for that. I'm waiting until it starts to warm up. I'm with you on the bad carbs, all chocolate and comfort foods have been making their way into my hands and mouth. Hopefully with spring around the corner this will change soon.

Mars, running in the cold is a good way to warm up!! Glen, most days I do just go in a Tshirt, nylon pants and nylon jacket. But when it's colder (today was -10 C/-18C with windchill) then I add another pair of pants (windbreaker), a long sleeved technical shirt and a neck warmer and of course, fleece gloves!! Usually 5 minutes into the run I'm toasty and by the end, the sweat is dropping off my fore head!
