Has anyone tried coconut oil in their coffee? sounds weird, I know, but i tried it and WOW! You must blend it in a blender and it turns hot black coffee into a golden creamy delicious treat. I add a 1/2 cup of hot milk and a dash of sugar along with the 1/2 tbs of coconut oil and I have a frothy warm satisfying beverage. It is about 136-150 calories and I think about 6-7 grams of fat...but HEALTHY FAT! The fat slows the caffiene rush so it stays with you a bit longer and I don't get that "drop" later on. I haven't been to Starbucks in weeks...calorie and $$$$$ savings!!!

I put it in my coffee at times I'm intermittent fasting, but without anything else added as the intention is getting some energy and hunger satiation without breaking the fast. What I've used is the processed kind, no taste, it just melts in my coffee. I've heard the less processed coconut oil tastes and smells like coconut, sounds like you may be using that type?

Yeah, the coconut oil I use is white and solid at room temp. it has a nice coconut taste and smell (which i love) its supposed to help burn fat...we'll see...Good luck on your endeavors! My hubby is struggling, We work out together and he eats what I eat only a bit more, but he is battling the middle age spread of "Guy gut" or beer belly...anyway, have a great day! :)

Yepers. I love it. I use 20 gr of protein powder milkshake mix as the creamer. It's incredible. (Bulletproof coffee.) Oddly, it seems to be best during a weight loss cycle.
