kattay's Journal, 11 February 2015

33254 steps for the week, average 4751 steps each day. Short of my goal of at least 5000 steps each day. Didn't work out with weights every day. Ate out with a friend, had pizza. I can't even remember the last time I had eaten pizza, which is one of my trigger foods.

This whole week has been hard to avoid overeating and staying around my macros. I was expecting a weight gain from the added carbs. Under the circumstances, I am okay with the scale results. Not happy, but okay, today is a new day.

I sincerely hope this next week won't be so hard!
197.0 lb Lost so far: 113.0 lb.    Still to go: 12.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Pizza? I was going to tell..........but I couldn't think of WHO to tell! ;) Kattay, you've done so well over the last years, I don't think anyone's going to throw stones. Now that you're back into One-derland, you're so close to your goal. You just need to get that same fire lit inside of you that drove you for the last few years. I know YOU can do it!

Thanks LittleRedFlatBack! I want to make a new lower goal but I don't dare to while these few pounds to my original goal are taking so long. I am struggling to lose any weight each week. Yep, I need that fire!

Nothing wrong with pizza. As far as your steps, have you tried Leslie Sansone? Her videos really helped me reach my step goals when that was my focus. And the best part was I could do it right in my den.

Yes! the closer to goal, the more difficult. I was 12 pounds from my goal weight, got frustrated, and went a little off - fortunately I only gained back about 20 pounds - managed to keep the other 50 pounds off. BUT, yes, the closer we get the harder it seems. I KNOW you can stick with it. Good luck,

You are a star, Kattay! Look at how far you've come. I'm pretty sure that sometimes a week of indulgence can kickstart the weight loss into high gear after you rein it in.

Thanks JLovelace, HCB, and DairyKing! I usually like to do my steps to the top 20 videos. I like the variety and doing my own thing to the music. Less steps couple days, thought I had made those steps up. I should not have just guessed up to "w" day. I have one tyke today and I get them both for Valentine's Day. Love spending time with them! Not the best days to be strict with calories, I do try anyway. You are right DairyKing, that strategy has worked in the past. I have to work on this project even harder.

Thanks dreamcatcher10! We all need support. This is a journey for most of us. It isn't about a few vanity pounds for me. If I had only ten pounds to lose, it would be a totally strict "diet". Obviously, with my amount to lose it is a way of eating (WOE) that I am working on. I will enjoy the "fun" foods on occasions and events and strive to be eat healthy the rest of the days. It is more the 80/20 mindset. I have lost weight this way and I don't feel deprived. I do get frustrated when I have been "good" all week or month and don't see any results. I am human :) However, ups and downs are part of life.

I do check out current health news to keep up with all new info, videos, exercises, etc. Sometimes, I try out other FS members' tips. I tweak my WOE a lot. Trial and error. I make it a game because that is what works for me. What works for one person just doesn't cut it for everyone. What worked for me years ago, certainly doesn't work now. Work in progress!
