This weekend was the first weekend in a long time that I didn't go overboard with food. I did have a bit too much chocolate, but I chose dark chocolate.

For breakfast my boyfriend asked about pancakes. I did not want to do this because I would of ended up eating it or having to find a paleo version to make for myself. So instead I found a paleo biscuit recipe. My brother and boyfriend sometimes worry when I bake paleo foods since I can sometimes fail and prevail...LOL. But the biscuits were a hit! My brother and boyfriend had 2 each! Also this recipe killed my biscuit craving that I have been having.. Not to mention they were organic, grain free and lower in carb. I added about 1 tbs of honey for the whole batch but I think it would of been fine without the honey.

Also for lunch we stopped at a burger joint because I was so hungry from doing errands. I had a double patty burger. I chose to skip the fries. It was hard at first but I am so happy I did! The burger kept me full without the fries. I did not take off the bun though...I really should have but I decided to pick and choose my battles. I want to wean myself back into the paleo lifestyle again. I feel if I go cold turkey I will feel very deprived and binge.

I am thinking to give up the grains for good and keep dark chocolate in my diet but at a minimum so I don't feel so deprived. Hopefully I can start seeing progress in my weight loss

Is it hard to stick to? I can easily give up grains because I can sometimes bake grain free and it taste great without bad side effects (cookies etc) which is great to kill off a bad craving. But I feel if I give up dairy COMPLETELY I might just lose it... If I use dairy at all , its a table spoon of cream in coffee...and butter in the pan and that's it. I rarely eat cheese.

I agree Glen. I need to start thinking About it as a lifestyle and make realistic changes for myself without getting burnt out. Also it takes a lot to love one self but I'm slowly getting there
