Happy Last Day of May
I hope you all had a marvelous Memorial Day weekend, attended plenty of BBQ's and appropriately remembered our Veteran's and currently serving troops.
I am going to do my monthly roll up tonight rather than waiting until the morning. I realize I did not do a roll up in May due to my brother's passing and my being MIA from here for a few weeks. So, this roll up will be since my last in April.
Here are a few things my numbers tell me:
1) I lost 7 lbs since April 1st per the scale, but actually I lost 12 lbs of fat weight and gained 5 lbs of lean muscle mass!! Yippee!!! I find this to be a much better reflection of how I am getting healthier.
2) I lost 6 more inches from waist, thighs and bust for a total of 28 inches to date.
3) My BMI went down 1% from 43 to 42. Still extremely obese, but only 7 lbs away from just being obese!
4) Just recalculated my RDI which was at 1900, now down to 1800 for June. Goal was 1300 calorie intake, hit that one at 1283 average.
5) Burning more calories on the average per day than April, up by 200. Like that!
6) My micro nutrients were on target to goal but my macro's were a little off. Need to get in more protein. Goal was 130g/day but I averaged out to only 106/day. Carb goal was 80g/day but ended up at 100g/avg for the day. Dropping carb goal to 60g, protein at 130 and the rest in fat to make up to 1300 calories/day.
7) Had excellent physical this month, total cholesterol is down to 146 (acceptable range is 140-200) and triglycerides are down to 149 (acceptable range is anything under 150). Going to get a cardiac eval to include an ecocardiogram (shows the health of the structure of the heart) and also a stress test. Due to my genetic history and my brothers recent death, my doc was all on board with this. Had mamogram, all looks good there too!!
8) Bought our electric bikes this month, having a ball on them so far!
9) Going to ramp up my networking at the office and look for my next gig. Things look promising.
10) June will entail Father's Day BBQ at our place, getting pool swimmable, finish planting enough flowers to fill in the bare spots in the beds.
Well that about does it for my last couple of months. All in all, I am pleased with my results. Will keep trudging forward, tweaking goals as necessary month to month...not day to day!
Adios Amigos!!
