So here I begin my new phase. I start at 177, my plateau for the last 4 months...
So, I started two new challenges.

One to walk a hundred miles in 12 weeks, which will include my next marathon so that one should easily be accomplished. I like the idea of keeping a record of my mileage with you guys in my group because it keeps me accountable for really training that much harder.

The other challenge is very simple, lose 15 pounds in 3 months. I like it because it says, Yeah that's all well and good but what does the scale say?

I will be having about 3 weeks of company during that time, so i'm not going to go all crazy on food specific challenges this time, but I resolve instead to pay attention to my foods. To eat consciously instead of unconsciously. To be wary of snacks. To watch the sugar grams and white flour intake. But mainly to have an overall RDI in line with losing weight, somewhere around 1300 day, and then to just push the workouts so that that weight can actually shift.

And to check in, record my miles, let you know how clean i'm eating (or not if I'm not). You guys are who I am accountable to. Period. Thanks for being there my buddies. Time to move off the plataue!
177.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 22.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
steady weight

Yaayahh, down off that plateau you come. Log your miles and fess up to us when you eat something that brings you away from your goal. Food is merely fuel for the body of an athelete marathon runner! 😡😬😥😍😘🙌💪

I ate so well today, having company that is... I had a delicious blueberry pancake for breakfast with sausage. One and a half pancakes and real maple syrup. Then I made everyone a delicious green smoothie for lunch and had a wonderfully light dinner of lime chicken soup and a chopped vegie salad all perfectly healthy. Everyone was drinking sodas all day and I enjoyed my water and I think I even drank more than usual. And I walked my 2.5 miles too. Good day.

Lime chicken soup sounds good. I've been eating salads all week for lunch. Feels great! Last night, we went out for pizza and they have terrible water at that place so I ordered a diet coke. When we got home, I was all full of energy and I told Eric that I wanted to get some cleaning done while I had such great energy! (Normally, by the time I get home I am half dead...) So anyways, we laughed when we realized that I was a little high on caffeine, which I hardly ever have anymore, so it actually DID give me some pep! It was great!

Sounds yummy. I have had a few less-than-exemplary meals the past couple of days. Tonight, thin pizza and kale & feta with vinaigrette salad. But 2 nights did yoga, and last night was 1st headstand in a while. I had taken a break from this one while my neck healed up from a major kink! No chiropractor needed, but it took over a week, or two, to heal. Many many stretches later, I'm good. 😉💪

Oh gosh Kristin, hope your neck feels better. Did pretty good today on the eating front...green shake, banana, a couple of small pieces Multigrain toast... then walked about 2 .5 miles, did have a coffee with a bit of sugar, hardly ever do that anymore but it was iced and seemed a good idea at the time. we ate some nibbles late afternoon, salami and cheese and crackers with some yummy salad from last night and some apple. Then for dinner I made ruebens. Ate too much and realized I could have been fine with half. I'm learning. Anyway, a bit high calorie today but with company, not too bad.
