Ladies, I need your motivation!

How does one avoid over indulging and being too lazy to exercise during that time of the month?
I am really finding it hard. I feel like this week is going to be a write off.

HELP!

My cramps are so bad during the curse I don't work out until the very end... My opinion is if the curse takes out your ability to work out then just make sure you eat well while you don't work out and then the next week come back and kill it.

Working out actually makes me feel better, endorphins and all that. A good workout and a hot shower feels heavenly when I am bloated and crampy.

I'm there now, too. I don't have any tricks, really, since my TOM can vary from annoying to apocalyptic, but a lot of times if it's giving me cravings, I'm not actually very hungry. I just want to appease my tongue. So instead of eating three main meals, I might instead just snack all day on healthier or at least reasonable stuff as the mood takes me. Fresh fruit (esp. pineapple) or granola bars for when I need something sweet, beef jerky or raw vegetables and dip for the salty/filling... As for working out, so long as my cramps are manageable, sometimes I just do it all the harder to spite my period. Lol.

I agree with Nicholaix - moderate exercise that works up a sweat usually helps me stretch it out and then the wonderful hot shower after with fragrant soap is soothing.

Thanks girls!!! I agree you feel great afterwards but getting the motivation to start is sometimes the hardest.

For at home: Check everything on Instagram like @fitgirlchris , watch Greg Plitt on Youtube (RIP), @fitgirlcode and all those other fit chicks before you think you want to work out or at least someone you look up to. That always helps with me. Otherwise, try to workout everyday but only for 10 minutes. It only has to be 1 exercise but it gives the routine that you want to have and after a while you probably would like to put more effort in it. Or I search an old picture from myself where I look terrible and tell myself why I started and that it would be so freaking stupid if I'd quit right now. ? :P
