Day 10; whole30. no cheese no dairy no grains. pretty much no starches - i'm just not a big fan of sweet potatoes and squash ..... you'd think i'd have shrunk to 1/2 my size by now!!! It's surprisingly not as hard as I anticipated. I seem to be floating through this 30 day plan. for now. Days 10 and 11 are supposed to be the biggest quitting days so let's see!

Stay the course. You're almost over the hump. Do it for your sense of accomplishment, and for the potential losses. If you don't, you won't know if it works, and I'd like to know.

Not by doing it myself of course.

I do no grains or dairy either; and low carb fruits and veggies which are no/low starch, I feel better! Lots of grilled veggies and meats, fish and poultry.

Basically the only thing I limit are starchy carbs. That's just the way I roll. It works for me.

I limit things that trigger asthma and migraines for me (chemicals and processed), sugar, and white flour. I do eat sugar and white flour sometimes but limited. Unlike most here I also limit animal proteins but my body doesn't tolerate much of them.

Since we're at the confessional, here goes! I abstain from all wheat, bread/cookies/cake/desserts, coffee, white sugar, grains, take very small doses of dairy, a bit more of animal meat, fish, eggs, poultry, beef. My core meals are centered around vegetables (starchy and non), fruits and I've starting using the vitamix for smoothies with whey protein powder and hemp powder. I use it every day. I want to limit wine to accompany outings. But tonight I'm cheating, I'm having coffee with milk and sugar. But it's the lesser of all evils :) I don't think I have a problem with grains (except wheat) but I find they pack a lot of calories per ounce. Hard to stay in my RDI with them on my plate. Of course, no processed foods. For health and weight loss reasons.

Tulip I have the Whole 30 book and never have read it. I suppose I will do that at some point and time after I finish getting my metabolism back in order. I am so pleased you are eating so healthy!!
