Chris, an interesting article, thanks for posting it. I'm sure will benefit many. I was on Atkins the first time back in 2002 after gaining weight after forced inactivity from a neck injury and the subsequent surgery. It has defiantly changed. I went looking for my book after reading it, it's some where on my cookbook shelves, came across a book I'd been looking for James Beards fish cookery, didn't find Adkins, oh well.  

Never tried Atkins. Flirted with Ornish, which is at the opposite end of the spectrum. 

Adkins didn't work for me, lost some weight, gained it back, could not keep eating that way. 3rd time I tried it I just felt sick to my stomach constantly and couldn't choke down that much meat. Figured out a plan that worked better for me.
