Gnewfry's Journal, 27 December 2014

i'm back on the wagon. i still haven't given up smoking. but i am disgusted with myself and how i look. i'm trying not to hate my body, but it isn't working well. none of my clothes fit well. all my shirts, even though they are supposed to be tunics, ride up my belly and my pants are falling down, so belly shows. i hate it.

every day is a new opportunity to create another history for yourself. Another life! Don't give up!!! You can either spiral down or spiral up. But usually there's always movement in our lives. Take it one day at a time, one hour at a time if you have to. Maybe take a close look at what tripped you up the last time and have a different plan, a different approach. I still say giving up the junk/processed food is the best way. You eventually get rid of cravings. But, everyone must experiment for what works for them.

agree totally with nowiunderstand. Give up the junk and processed foods. Whole natural foods make a tremendous difference. I used to hate my body also. Now not so much, it's still flabby but thinner and slowly getting toned. I also used to hurt 24/7 now I feel great, unless I do something like fall ice skating :)):)):)).

We all go through our own bouts of not being happy about something about our bodies. We didn't get this way over night, it won't go over night either. As NowIunderstand and wholefoodnut commented, whole foods is the way to go. Portion control is a must and keeping under your RDI. Even if you slip up, just dust yourself off and get back on track. It is a journey, a journey to better health. You can do this!

Definitely portion control, you can gain on whole foods as well if you eat more than you should. Measure measure measure.
