Transformation Butterfly's Journal, 17 December 2014

Hi I am back. I could not use my computer until now as I obtained a cut to my right hand on Thanksgiving night using a mandolin. I am right handed. They say their is no such things as accidents. I had to have a full blood work up. Go the results today not good. My cholesterol is up for the first time ever in my life. My blood sugars are elevated (not good family history of Diabetes). My vitamin D levels are very low. My blood pressure is borderline high.

I take responsibility for my issues and I had taken steps to make serious changes to my lifestyle that I was going to initiate on January 1st, but after today I put my plans into action tonight.

Plan to use slow cooker to start making vegan meals for a year. I had already purchased a 1.5 quart cooker. I ordered a scale so that I could monitor my food portions. Decided to do this after reading "French women don't get fat. I figured that I could do this as I don't consume meat more than two days a week if at all. 2015 is going to be my year of discovery for new foods and new cooking techniques as well as returning to my meditation and Tai Chi. (No kidding after today enlightenment.)

I had been requesting management from where I live to replace the broken elliptical, bike and treadmill for last year and they just did so on Saturday. I got on the elliptical tonight and I can tell you that I broke out in a serious sweat only after using it for five minutes terrible workout as I use to use this machine for at least fifteen minutes. (Muscles that I have not used for at least a year started telling me I had not used them so I will work a little everyday and build up my endurance.) I am still riding my stationary bike for an hour everyday, but will increase my DVD workout time along with weight lifting as I have now been cleared to do both of these routines.

I have been very lacks with my work outs for the last six months but now I have to go back into serious workouts like I did when I had a trainer (no money in budget for trainers so I have to kick my own butt). The goal is to be a healthy 140 lbs. with maximum work. Cold weather is not my friend due to arthritic knees, but I will seriously bundle up and get moving every morning at 4:00 am.

I really need support from everyone at fat secret as I have no family members to support me at all.
