I have gall stones! Had an attack on Tuesday night. Very scary.

I NEED to get this weight off. I NEED to eat healthy! Im scared!

I know its not the most life threatening thing you can have, but I dont want to get to that point!

Eggs disagree with me. I wondered why the 'indigestion' after I eat certain things... maybe because my body doesnt want them!! duh!

New page, new chapter. I want my life to be a nice LONG book! no short story here!

243.8 lb Lost so far: 12.2 lb.    Still to go: 63.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.1 lb a week

Sorry to hear about the gall stone incident, I know that can be very uncomfortable and painful. I believe there's a positive to just about anything if we look for it and as you said it's more motivation to do what you need to do. I had several health related reasons to lose weight and get in better shape, over half a year into the process I can say it's worth every bit of effort. Do what you need to do to be healthier, best wishes to you for success!

I had to have my gall bladder removed because it triggered pancreatitis...which can be life threatening. Keep an eye on it and good luck!! You will be in my thoughts and prayers!

It will be ok getting the galstones out would help. I had my galbladder removed because it turnedto mush. But i noticed the heart burn subsided and the pain that was there before surgery is gone.

I had my gallbladder out back in 1983 because of a family condition causing iron stones. Getting it out these days is much easier. Don't beat yourself up. Cut your fat to under 20 grams a day and no more than 5 in one meal until surgery. You can't cure this with diet, only reduce attacks. I was 8 months pregnant when mine started. I know scary.

Had my gall bladder removed in the early nineties after an attack which was misdiagnosed as a heart attack. The little bladder was filled with stones! Looked like pearls. The surgery was quite easy - they went in thru my belly button. Haven't had a problem since, but not a panacea for being overweight...good to hear you are using the attack as motivation for weight loss. Keep going...

I had the same problem only stopped after gallbladder removed. Definitely linked to weight and also being female. Positive thing is that I had it removed 12 years ago and never had pain since and no side effects. I tried to avoid surgery with diet but could not and eventually ruptured and had emergency surgery.
