I am doing ok with the food plan. Doing a lot of substitutions! Like, I had to give up some of my cheese and pasta because I went to a book club meeting where we had lasagna. But the food won't go to waste - my daughter is home from college for a month and she will eat what I don't. She is trying to gain weight, so I get to cook with butter and whole milk and fatty cheeses! <sigh>

Went to a dance last night and had a great time! If you get a chance to go contradancing, you should! It is one of those things that if you love it, you will be amazed every time you go. The local hall has two dances a week here - better than the gym! I think if you really push, you burn 600 calories an hour. Even just dancing casually I got pretty sweaty.

Have to start thinking about winter now. Closing the storm windows, locking up the 3-season porch, getting the snow shovels where they can be reached in the morning when it snows.

Got a artificial tree and will set it up over the weekend. Might get some branches out of the yard to give the place that pine smell, too.
