One word describes what I thought when I woke up: DOMS!
Oh. My. Word.

Needless to say, Mama's sore today, Folks! Even laughing has become difficult and slightly uncomfortable. I know it will pass and it's an indication that my intensity level was, shall we say, slightly inordinate and I should take it down a notch or TWELVE while my body heals. I'll stick to bouncing away on my rebounder today (I do love my rebounder!) and strength training on the two parts of the body that aren't screaming at me: arms and shoulders.

Food-wise, I'm happy I made enough dinner for two nights yesterday! (A yummy lentil "pate" with basil, tahini, lemon & garlic, and an arugula & avocado salad.) I'm trying to make that a habit (making two dinner's worth of food at a time) to lighten my load so I have more time for my studies.

And speaking of studies, today, I get to sit through a 2-hour DVD of anatomy, physiology, nutrition, applied kinesiology and exercise physiology. Oh, joy! At least I get to sit down and give my thighs a rest while I watch it!

Hope you're all having a wonderful week!

Yeah - it's DOMS always worse second or third day versus day after. At least you know you worked it. The DVD actually sounds very interesting. Enjoy!

How do you like the AB-Ripper? I think it is very effective

I love anatomy. Fearfully and wonderfully made! Doms are good for you. You'll find you've gained a lot of weight while you sat through that two hour dvd. At least, it will feel like it.

How do I feel about Ab Ripper? Hate the name. Like the results! I always dread it when it starts, but it's over very quickly. Fifer Scissors and I are NOT friends! (But I do them anyway.) I can actually start to see some of my ab muscles, which isn't easy for women, let alone a 40-year old woman! :)
