weirdangel's Journal, 17 April 2011

Well I bought a scale and jumped on it and lost 9 pounds in two weeks. I'm pretty happy with that... the scale is going in the right direction!! What sort of bugged me was I had weighed myself on a scale in the mall (one of those where you put in a quarter) and it was the middle of the day and I had on jeans and tennis shoes and that scale said I had lost 17 pounds, which was super exciting, but honestly I felt this had to be wrong. So, I'm giong to use this scale as my benchmark.

I plan to weigh myself every two weeks versus once a week. I think for me seeing a large weight loss (hopefully) every two weeks versus a small weight loss every week is more motivation.

I went out Friday night and drank a lot and it is taking me two days to recoup. Not going to do that again for a while. Not as young as I used to be.

So today is windy and cold and not sure I'm going to get out and exercise. Feeling very lazy which means of course that I SHOULD get off my butt and move. If I do, I'll let you know :)

Everyone have a wonderful Sunday.

Weirdangel - Have read a lot of scale stories on the site. I keep mine set to what my doctor's says and hope for the best. Just curious - did you happen to see the comment that Sexynona and I made on your last weigh in?

Lori, Here my receipe:So simple and easy Brown in 1 tbsp. olive oil, 1 lb ground turkey,1/2 cup chopped onion,1/2 cup green pepper, add 1 1/2 tesp.chile powder,1 1/2 tesp.ground cumin, salt and pepper to taste.Add 16 ozs.crushed tomatoes and about 1/2 cup water. Bring to boil.Add 1 cup (or more)chopped zucchini and simmer an hour or more. Top with grated chedder cheese, sour cream, and avacado. This makes 4 healthy servings. You can ajust seasonings to your liking. I made a double batch and froze in single servings. You can use ground beef of coarse.I personally just don't care for beef.Never have.glad to see your doing better with the program.Congrats on the loss.YEAHH Don't forget to measure yourself. nonna
