Happy weekend!

Just touching base because my weekend is so busy. GoodMan and I hosted a birthday party for two grands and DS#6 today and we're babysitting 4 grands tonight. Tomorrow we have church and then return the grandlings to their parents.

ATF ~ I stayed on my new lifestyle meal plan today even though I made ribs, macaroni salad, blueberry pie, and mint chocolate chip ice cream cake for the birthday party. For me (and anyone who wanted to share) I also made a multi-bean salad, olive hummus and guacamole - all of which I was able to eat.

Exercise has been difficult to squeeze in unless you count all the chasing around after the grands. GoodMan turned the pool heater on earlier in the week and forgot to turn it off (OOPS!) so when he went down to the pool room to turn the heat on for the kids to swim today he found we had a giant hot tub! Seriously, the pool was too hot to swim in earlier in the day. We had to add some cold water to make it useable. I dread looking at the bill when it comes...but it will be a great story to tell in years to come!

Make your weekend wonderful!

Hi Grammy, & a happy WEEK to you, since the weekend is over. Sounds like you had a fun weekend. Lucky you to have a pool, but I hear ya on the water's heating bill, yowza! Good, good GOOD for you on keeping to your healthy eating. It's hard I know, but so worth it in the long run. I'm ecstatic bc I lost some lbs this weekend. I need my left hip replaced, but due to arthritis pain & other health problems I can hardly do any exercises. So I've had to cut my calories to only 1200 a day, & am also watching carbs as Hubs is diabetic. Seems to be taking 4 - EVER, but my weight is going down, & I KNOW I will eventually lose the other 53 lbs I have still to go so I can have the surgery. The only way we fail is if we give up. That's what keeps me going. Best wishes for your continued healthy lifestyle. HUGZ, GLAMMER
