GlennM's Journal, 17 April 2011

Well, I ate too much at Golden Corral. They're a good place to eat but primarily a family restaurant in the evening. Children were running about everywhere. I don't mind kids, but am glad I never had any. Bruce says his old girlfriend wants to meet me, a casino trip where he would go along too with all of us going to Connecticut is possible in maybe June. I hope the arthritis pain eases, I am starting to feel better, but woke up in the middle of the night, the pain pills weren't making me cranky the past two weeks - the back pain was! It was pouring so heavily back from Springfield to Northampton last night. Bruce is very easy going - a woman yelled at him at the Golden Corral because the ice cream cone dispenser was messed up and he swore, she wouldn't let up with the screaming as she had like five-year-old kids. Like they won't learn the facts of life in second grade or Santa is actually some relative in kindergarten these days. Those kids will know more in third grade than she did in sixth, they grow up fast these days. Anyway, back to stricter dieting now!

I may join the neighborhood group in our area, I mentioned it already. None of the 191 apartment people contacted them but me, plus there are dozens of others here rooming with the tenants who are supposed to as they're not big apartments. The dog is well, the weather is cold and rainy. I will write the specific information needed for the second literary agency, and then get back to the western. I ate so much last night I don't need breakfast. I am avoiding neighbors in my building from now on they start trouble or try to, and are a nuisance and I won't talk to anymore of them regularly. It is a LONG story but if I told it everyone would understand why. Hope everyone who celebrates has a great Palm Sunday. My back is still bothering me so it is unlikely in this cold weather for me to be out and about much in the near future... now - it is time to get strict with the dieting...

The back pain is finally letting up but I have had a migraine with nausea all day - maybe the back shots I had are kicking in. It is a full moon this evening, so craziness is in the air, a neighbor flipped out on me last evening, I am more than ready to leave. Fifteen years of nonsense is all I have to say. Hopefully tonight I will be more than ready to get the special synopsis for book 1 done that the second literary agency needs. I am eating some pasta to give me some energy, I'm cooking it now as I am sort of craving it. Hope everyone who is celebrating is having a good Easter season...

I have been drinking lots of water with the nausea I had and took ginger capsules - the back pain is greatly relieved, a little bit tight. I edited a little of book 1, 'history repair' it feels like - I have to look up one man and add him into the story as he founded a town and this man's son became prominent during his lifetime, one must read the book; they're just mentioned occasionally in the book... I am feeling a lot better so the shots did work...

Hey Glenn, great journaling here, I add to my journal often as I am trying to get through the day because it helps get the clutter out of my head and onto paper. My sister said something to me that made a whole lot of sense about my neighbor. Most likely the neighbor lady didn't want to admit to the emergency personnel that her pit bull puppy did this because it would be a strike against her dog. Makes a lot of sense to me. Mary said her little girls told her that they had to have their last dog put down because he killed a small dog. Anyway, I am praying about this one. I sure hope you can find some relief from your arthritis as you sure struggle with arthritis troubles and that really effects your quality of life every day. The latest exercise for flexibility is using a foam roller and it rolls out tender spots and reduces discomfort in muscles and tissues. It is called Myofascial Release stretching and may be of some natural benefit to you? Happiness to you this Easter Glenn and best wishes on your decision on joining the neighborhood group too:) TOWANDA!!!

Lisa - that makes so much sense, because then the dog would have to be put down if it's a pit bull as once they bite someone the animal is put down as they're considered dangerous. If it gets to court bring this up. I don't think a judge will believe a cat with a cone on bit the little girl, remember parents today tell their kids wrong things these days and to lie too; also a child can do no wrong in school even if they are bullies - the teacher is exaggerating it. The neighborhood group contacted me late last night, they're mostly 20 something college crowd, but I may make some new friends. I live alone also, and have just a few friends and they have many other friends; Shawn goes to an elderly friend's house for days at end, Luanne spends lots of time with neighbors and Bruce has a girlfriend and other friends too. It feels like a lot of the time I have no one to talk to so it is good to get on here and journal when I feel that way. I'm going to call about acupuncture later today. It is sunny - around 60* today so it should be nice. Back sore as I woke up; I definitely need a new mattress and am going to flip it today, I haven't done that in a few years at least. Today is a state holiday in Massachusetts - Patriot's Day - but we still get mail because it is not federal, all the state employees are off...

'meant not a federal holiday' in last sentence. Believe me, I catch these errors later on; in a book one has to be so careful not to mix up what someone is saying and make it clear who is saying it or thinking it, etc.
