Feeling great after my workout at Curves. It does wonders for me personally, and affects all areas of my life in a positive way, so no idea why I always dread it.

I'm really happy with my diet today, except for the sugar. I'm making a real effort to eliminate processed sugar, so did away with the granola bars I keep at my desk for snacks. I'm not worried about natural sugar from fruits, so if I don't count the grams from the apple today, I guess I did okay :)

Hope everyone has a great night!

Many granola bars have so much sugar in them. I had to give them up when I was diabetic. I don't eat them now because I know my blood sugar would rise and my doctor would put me back on diabetes pills. I try to keep my sugar below 50 grams a day, so I log my foods to make sure I don't get too much sugar.

You are so right about the granola bars. My husband is borderline diabetic, so hopefully I will be able to influence him. Luckily, I have really low blood sugar, but I still need to stay away from it. Not only does it add empty calories, but cancer feeds on it. Logging my food is really helping me realize what I put into my body.

After finding out I had become diabetic, I too had to give up my 'healthy' granola bars. I actually thought that granola bars were so good for me that I felt proud that I was eating them VERY regularly! Shocking to find out that most of what I thought was good is bad. Keep up the good work and keep the good work at Curves going. You're an inspiration to me as a new dieter!
