Hi, Folks!
Nothing terribly fascinating to report today, I guess. I spent over an hour this morning trying to find a nice outfit in my closet that actually fits me, and was unsuccessful. Most of my clothes are sizes 2X-XL or 12-22 (the usual range of sizes I've been over the last decade, or so), and I'm now a Small or size 6, so I might have to go clothes shopping if I don't want to look like a boxcar hobo this holiday season! It feels so strange being this small. I had one person handing out t-shirts at the race tell me I was "tiny" and needed a small shirt and I actually looked behind me because I thought she was talking to someone else! Oh well, if being too small for my clothes is the worst of my problems, I'll quit complaining and take it, gladly.

On the food front, I've been trying to decide how I want to increase my calories and overall nutrient density (read: more veggies!!) to my daily food intake and think I'm going to reinstate adding a "green juice" when I break my fast in the late afternoon. I used to have a green juice everyday and loved them, but stopped doing it (I think it was because I hated cleaning out the juicer!). One of my favorite green juices was cucumber, celery, kale, pear and ginger! So yummy!

OK, I better get a move on if I'm going to get a run in today! The weather is cold and grey today, but I'm still smiling & whistling "zip-a-dee-doo-da" from my fun weekend!

Have a fabulous day, everyone! Go make it extraordinary! :)

I couldn't resist adding this:

The clothes thing sure is a mixed emotion, isn't it? I feel a little guilty donating my really good clothes because I spent lots of money on them. Problem is, they don’t fit anymore. I only wear about 1/3 of the clothes that I didn't already donate. I had 4 giant trash bags full of old clothes that I took to goodwill already. Now I need to do it again but I can't really afford to buy a whole new wardrobe. At least our feet are still the same size. LOL

I have a closet full of clothes just waiting for me to get into them. I can't wait until I can finally get back into some of them and into others I haven't warn yet! I take looking like a hobo as a complement.

Yes Brent, it does feel a little like I'm whining about something so trivial, but I'm starting to film footage for my documentary and I can't look like a boxcar hobo! Fortunately, a family member gave me some of her workout clothes that are now too small for her, so at least I have some running shorts that don't fall down when I run! I also can't afford an entirely new wardrobe, so I'm just buying stuff on an "as needed" basis. Mostly, workout/running clothes, since that's what I seem to wear from sun up to sun down! I'm sure I have at least 6 large garbage bags of clothes I need to donate now! And the weirdest thing is my shoe size has gone up!! (I think it's because I didn't know how to buy correctly sized shoes to begin with!) And all of the shoes I wore a year or two ago are all stretched out from my formerly chubby feet, so my shoes don't even fit me anymore! *sigh*

These are the "good" problems to have. I've gone down 3 jean sizes. All the rest, as they are pretty nice, I'm going to try to sell to a high end consignment shop. Gotta get something out of it. But I'm nowhere near end state so I hesitate to buy large amounts of clothes. But am so so grateful to be needing smaller sizes. Zip a dee doo dah ... Have a wonderful day.

It is best to get rid of all of the bigger clothes that way you can never go back and use them again, enjoy your run today :)

I love that you have the too small problem! That means all your work is paying off. Go buy some new holiday clothes to show off! I'm trying to have more green smoothies to add in some fruit and veggies, but haven't been good about it, I need to make it part of the routine, but I'm like you I hate to clean the blender. :) The fruits and veggies taste great, so that's what I need to remember. I'm going to think about your too small problem as I'm trying to lose some weight I've gained recently, and motivate myself to have the same problem. :)

Rockiesfan, that's wonderful advice! And Sweet2th, that's a good problem to have (wardrobe that's too big). Now you can find something new to reward yourself with.

Concur with Rockiesfan... get rid of them! Keeping those old clothes is like keeping pictures and letters from an old flame, knowing you are getting married to someone else, but wanting to hold on to the past "just in case". Were those feelings real before you broke up? Yep... but if you are going to COMMIT , then COMMIT for the long haul... no turning back. It's no wonder Cortes and Alexander the Great chose to burn their ships when facing overwhelming odds! "Was this act of burning the boats a mock dramatization of bravery, or a cleverly constructed strategy? In Sun Tzu’s The Art of War, it brings to light the logic behind the decisions of history’s greatest conquerors to burn their boats at the risk of being killed in enemy hands. It was simply to ERADICATE any notion of retreat from the minds of their troops and commit themselves unwaveringly to the cause – Victory. Defeat wasn’t an option at all." Perhaps Sweet2th, you should have a cloths burning party! ... a demonstration of your unwavering commitment to Victory!
