My husband brought the devil home last night because I jokingly asked for it... By the devil, I mean Little Devil's (oops, I mean Debbie's) Swiss Rolls. I can never stop at just one package. Last night I ate two, BUT I didn't eat the whole box! Improvement! I think the nanny ate a package yesterday which makes me HAPPY! They will be gone sooner!! LOL

I went to the gym last night. I did 25 minutes on the treadmill. I would have preferred 30 or 35, but the machine is automatically set to 20 with a 5 minute cool down because of wait times at the gym. So then I went to the area where I normally do floor workouts, but a couple of guys were over there, so I found another corner and started doing walking squats (I don't know exactly what they're called.) As I was doing them, this guy came and sat down RIGHT where I was working out, like I could have stepped on him. WHAT THE FOXTROT!? I was so mad! I ended up leaving and promised myself I would do a plank at home. I am thinking of joining Curves (not that I really want to go on someone else's schedule) or dropping my gym and finding another way to get a workout in after winter. Thing is, if I say I'm going to workout at home, I won't because the kids are all over me and I can't actually complete a workout. Ideas?

So anyway, I did a one-minute plank at home last night; the last 10 second was brutal! However, I felt pretty good when I woke up this morning. I need to keep doing things like that, planks and such, that don't break my already broken back. I just need arm exercises for bad wrists... Pushups are hard because of my wrists, not my arms.

I took the stairs up this morning. I was carrying my bag full of nine 16.9oz water bottles and my 20 pound purse, which I KNOW made it a lot harder to climb those stairs! Nine flights and I was totally winded when I got to my floor, BUT I felt good! I am definitely going to keep taking the stairs! I just wish I could wear my FitBit to work!

Congrats on getting to the gym... but WTF with the A-holes running you out of the gym early! I commend you for doing the planks at home after AND walking the stairs this morning... EVERY little bit helps towards your ultimate goal. In my opinion... with your circumstance of young children at home, it will be very difficult to work out effectively at home. You just need to find a different place where you can avoid running into A-holes like you did yesterday. It's all about making the workout a HABIT... a regular part of your day... something you will feel guilty about missing if/when you do skip it. That is ultimately how I lost my 50#s... If I can do it, ANYONE can! You got this girl! Don't let the kids, the A-holes at the gym, and even your back keep you from what you want... a HEALTHIER You! You got this!

I love ring dings (that's what they were called in NY). They are the round cakes with cream in the middle. Yum!
