Zombie 5K went well on Saturday. One runner described it best in that, you just get in your stride and then the zombies show up and force you to sprint. It was a very unique run, but fortunately, there were a lot of runners around me, so I didn't get too surprised by the jumps and shouts of zombies in the bushes.
It was a very hilly trail run. I am so glad that I've worked on hill sprints. Now, I don't run a lot...maybe once or twice every couple of weeks so I really had not anticipation of how I'd finish. So, my surprise in the race was that I finished in 30:32 which gave me a 5th in the female division, and 2nd in my age bracket! Crazy! I can no longer tell people that "I'm not fast, but I can endure".
