Are you taking vitamins? I hear B vitamins (specifically B12) help boost energy but when you're reducing calories and caffeine you have to expect your body will need time to adjust. Maybe try going to bed a bit earlier and taking it easy while your body gets used to the lack of energy. A vitamin supplement is always a good idea too:)

B vitamin complex. try skipping out on carbs for your first meal (just protein and fat) then maintaining a steady intake throughout the rest of your meals. this will keep you from the carb induced insulin spike/dip rollercoaster effect that can reek havok on energy levels by mid day

Michele, it's going to take a couple of days for you to adjust from burning carbs to burning fat for fuel. You will feel pretty crappy for about a week and then you should start feeling better. You might even get a few flu-like symptoms in the beginning, it will pass. Hang in there girl, you are pointed in the right direction, just keep driving!

Regular exercise after a few days you'll get that energy boost you're looking for.

69 net carbs is not a low carb diet.

Yep... exercise releases endorphins. Which will make you feel good and actually curb your appetite too. Schedule an activity at 4 pm that will make you go. A class or a walk. Just 20 minutes a day can do wonders.

You are doing well. Listen to your body maybe a snack for energy when you start to feel the drain a nice walk if you can, vitamins yes can help specially when we may not getting them from our food. If nothing may seem to be working you may need to schedule a physical have blood work. I'm sure you will figure it out.

I suggest an orange unless you're trying to have really low carbs smh. They have energy, fiber and lots of vitamin C. I also recommend a B complex vitamin for overall metabolism boost.

How is your sleep? If you sleep 8 hours and still have no energy, it could be a need for B vitamin.

msbuggirl I trying not to have over 60grams of carbs daily. I am on a diet from my physician which is 1400 cal & 60 net carbs per day. I have gone over a couple of times this week but I am still only having a 4th of the carbs I wiould have normally had before starting this. Deb N I am one of the lucky ones, I do get 8 hours of sleep everynight. I am able to fall asleep within a minute of laying down and then I stay asleep all night. I will definitly try the vitamin B.
