Gym workout after work yesterday, normal routine but cut it short, skipped the last 3 machines as I just couldn't do one more of anything. Should have rested a few and tried but didn't. Home just before a storm hit. About 9,000 steps, I round it off a little because I don't put it on first thing in am.

Added tilapia in yesterday, had not had fish in several weeks, tasted good. Breaded it by dipping in soy milk then a mix of corn and barley flour with some parsley, fried it in a TBS of olive oil, turned out perfectly crisp. I would have been happy with just veggies.

Grandsons' football game after work. Won't get home until about 7:00.

Weather radio kept going off until about 10:00 so hard to get to sleep. Nothing serious, just thunderstorms with lots of lightening and some wind. Incredible thunder echoing in the river bluffs.

Yep, I think you did an awesome job and you avoided driving in a storm.

Call it synchronicity, but a weather radio was on sale at Amazon so I got one. Like the midwest, the southeast gets its share of bad weather. For $25, it seems like a good investment in safety, particularly since we get the occasional tornado.

I hear all around me bad weather but haven't seen it yet - sky looks dark though. I would have trouble listening to the radio too and trying to sleep. I will be the one who sleeps thru it all.

Game canceled due to the crazy fall weather. I have an emergency weather radio that only goes off with warnings unless you push a button for the days forecast

Chris, I think everyone should have one. I live in tornado alley however there is no state that is immune to weather issues, or actually no country since we are an international site. Annoying when it wakes you up but it may save your family...I bitch because it wakes me up when not needed, but it's really ok. I've been through and seen the devastation weather can cause with straight winds, tornados, floods, and hurricanes. $25.00 is cheap protection to save your life and loss of sleep is worth it.

Glad to hear it was a smart purchase. I'm trying to make small, incremental changes that will add to my safety and wellbeing, such as the weather radio and C02 detector.

Chris, yes the small changes that help your life, they are good. I also have a co2 detector near my furnace on the advice of a friend whose DH is in the furnace business. He was worried that I did not have one. Now I need to get my smoke detectors back up including my new ones before my furnace goes back on. Small changes = big changes in your well being.
