ShyGuy's Journal, 27 September 2014

This is my first day logging my food again, in months. What's different, this time, is for the first time I'm logging what I might typically eat on a Saturday, when I'm not eating low carb. I kinda wanted to see what my calorie and carb intake is before I go back to low carb, so I will have something to compare it with. So, starting the day with sausage, cheesy scrambled eggs, cinnamon toast, and a cup of coffee; chili dogs, chips, and Kool-aid for lunch; pan grilled pork chops, and steamed broccoli, for dinner; it will be interesting to see how the numbers add up when the day is done. I haven't even considered what my snacks, probably some buttered popcorn, later on, will add to the mix. As has been said, in order to know where you are going, it's good to know where you've been.

Yes, I like your thinking. I think its too easy to graze (even) and not realise how many cals/carbs (whatever) you pile on. So to be aware of what that grazing amounts to, and to be aware of what the meals amount to, would be an important lesson in "how we got here". Maybe I should follow your example. Though, I currently haven't got a typical supply of "goodies" because I am preparing to be good. So, maybe not, eh! Anyway, best wishes and keep us posted. x

Seems like it is come-back time. I like your idea to get an overview at the same time, for myself, it scares the check out of me to think what I did. I will just start over again, not thinking what I did wrong but keeping my mind of what good I can do for myself. We can do it!
