In college, my weight slowly climbed up to 196lbs. Finally, I got tired of it, and decided to get back in shape by counting calories and swimming. I told myself that I could eat 1300 calories a day if I didn't work out, and if I swam for 30 minutes that day then I could eat 1600 calories. The weight literally fell off. Probably too fast. I dropped from 196lbs to 165lbs and 8% body fat in <5 months.
Well, over the past 5 years my weight has slowly crept back up to 194lbs. So I'm back on it. And I've chosen a 5-year old profile picture as inspiration for my target weight. But I'm going to leave a little more slack in the calorie budget. Here's to counting calories and swimming!
