There is a FatSecret group called "Yes...I have Diabetes" and you can read about. Click on the Community tab at the top of the home page and click on Groups. Put diabetes in the search box. Learn from people who make topics in that group.

To read about carbs for Diabetic people, go to dlife.com/ and click on the tab called Food & Fitness. Click on "What can I eat" or "Carb management."

When I first started losing weight I ate 200 carbs a day, then lowered it to 160. I keep my carbs now 120-140 because I am not losing but just maintaining. Good luck!
