hoosier436's Journal, 22 September 2014

This past weekend, I was "bad"-my youngest son had is 21st birthday- and also a 'movie night" at church on Saturday-- ate too much-- had cake for the first time since April, and well went over board--my body reacted like "Give me more cake, more more more" it seemed to be a Frankenstein [/img]that got loose and was terrorizing my mind. It would not been so bad, if I just had one and left it alone.. but the kids did not take the stupid thing home.. I yielded to temptation.. and it showed.. my weight jumped two pounds..lol..

I thought ok, maybe a good night sleep will help- usually does.. but I had b about 5 hours of sleep last night- I am responsible for calling in pay roll and man, there was a major computer glitch (caused by me last weekend)= and had to go in and try to fix it today, before HQ printed the checks out. Took me two hours to fix it. Geez.. Yes On my own time, since it was my glitch that caused the mess.

Not discouraged, just frustrated with myself- that I did not have the discipline that I thought I had.. oh well.. today is another day.. getting back on track...

Next time make sure they take the cake, or have the party at their house and leave it there. Don't you hate that all it takes is a moment to put on 2 pounds but days to take it off?

You caught it early and 2 lbs is relatively easy to lose. Dont beat yourself up about it. As long as the good days outweigh the bad!

We all have days or especially nights that we give in to cravings. Last night I over did the home made cookies. So, today I'm trying to fix it. Watch the trend...

I've been on maintenance over a year, and I still have those bad days. Just pick back up with the program. You've been doing great!

No one is perfect. Just get back on the next day after sliding off your way of eating plan, don't make it a week's worth of regret. And yes, insist they take the cake home next time!
