I understand it but I cannot stand it. Why does everyone ask how I feel? I lost a small human so far how do you think I feel. I know it sounds trivial but needed to vent. I absolutely love telling people I feel worse not than before and I cannot gain weight back. I hear crickets.... It could be worse they could tell you haven't changed a bit from school. (while everyone else from school has "filled out") Meaning you have always been fat! Love My Life!

So tell me how you really feel:) Vent away. People say the most silly things. What gets me is the oh wow you have lost weight, you really look great. Well hell I thought I looked great before so how did I look bad before or what. It is funny that people just don't know what to say sometimes.

My favorite is when people tell me that they are proud of me for making a goal and sticking with it. What the hell! As if I have not completed numerous goals, or maybe they don't think that matters as long as you're fat! Glad you vented; it gave me a chance to vent, as well!! :)

I love the comment..."have you lost weight" No I just got bigger clothes. I am going to keep going until I loose a moderate sized human.

Yeah well...as a guy at least you don't have to deal with the "oh, you have such a pretty face" comment I used to hear a lot. Though I'm sure there's probably a male equivalent. The phrase "I'm proud of you" is something I tell my kids, not grown-ups, so it sounds weird when people say it to me. Funny thread here. I know we all know people mean well. When I get "how do you feel" I take that to mean the other person has noticed a change in my level of confidence because that has definitely improved. Just remind yourself that's what they're commenting on. :)

Man I hate the 'pretty face' 'pretty eyes' thing... it's basically code for 'too bad your ass is so fat.'

Vent away, friend! We all need to and this is the best place for it cause there are a lot of us that are right there with you. I had someone tell me recently during a conversation, "...don't get me wrong, you're a beautiful woman, you just need to loose the weight." and my daughter had a complete stranger walk up to her and say, "You're really cute, it's a shame you're fat." I mean, really!! What makes people think it's OK to be cruel to someone just because they are overweight? DUH!

I hear the, "So how do you feel now that you've lost all that weight?" Very often. What I am supposed to say? "GREAT!... now that I know you all like me better!" Honestly I didn't really feel that bad to begin with. Now though, I feel absolutely rushed throughout the day. If you look at my exercise diary, on average I think I get maybe 2-3 hours of rest - which translates into helping kids with homework every night or cooking meals. I'm constantly up, getting kids ready for school, making meals, cleaning house, working a full time job, exercising at home or walking around the ball fields during practice, homework, showers, and then sleep. Thank God for sleep. I don't have to move and when I wake up I can start eating again. LOL
