Draglist's Journal, 19 September 2014

Morning weigh in of 221.4 after a big steak dinner out last night with drinks, wine, and dessert. Expected. Guests in town will have us eating out during the weekend, but I will try to keep the action as near to RDI as I can. Working out will be sparse depending on what we decide to do. Back to work next week. My daughter's engine blew in her car at college, so we have a trip planned for next weekend to take her a new (used) one. That means another weekend of eight hour car rides to and from, potential extra eating, and no working out. Will be a miracle if I can get back to the 190s in September!

UPDATE: Great eating day at work but had a nice big dinner (with cheese and crackers and then salmon and salad) at night. Also drank a six pack of beer, so there's that... LOL. Weight went down from this morning. Sodium 3579.

Just say no to the nuts and chop up some veggies for your long car ride.

Bill, on my rides to Buffalo and back I've been buying a pkg. of the Jack's Links thick beef jerky - it's two thick strips of jerky - and munching on small bites as I go. I know that it's not the best thing as far as sodium and preservatives but at least it's low fat/high protein and keeps me from wanting other stuff that's much higher in calories/sugar/carbs.
