So Im off the the doctor today! I'm kinda scared because I haven't actually weighed in :| I knew what my usual weight is. My expensive scale unfortunately broke, so after much research on a scale that gives the same accurate weight each time I ordered the newest model of EatSmart scales. For $40 wish me luck it works good, and I'll definitely weigh in daily. I'm excited to get started!

I just hate that all scales weigh differant. Your all excited going to the Dr. to show him how much weight you lost ,and their scale says you gained. What a let down, when he looks at you and says"What" Where.

GM!
Hey, instead of weighing in DAILY, consider only weighing yourself once a week.
Why? Well, if you weigh yourself everyday, you'll see all of the irrelevant weight fluctuations (ie. water weight) that will not give you an accurate picture of your progress.
BUT, by comparing week-to-week progress, you'll get a better view of progress. (Imagine.... seeing that you lost 1lb since yesterday, but gained 2lbs tomorrow *sucks*...versus seeing that you lost a total of 2lbs since last Tuesday *way more encouraging and progressive)

I went to a friends last fall. They had a scale tucked under their bathroom sink. I decided to try theirs. (Scale sharing. I know!!!) I pulled it out and stepped on. It was an old scale. I weighed on it what I weighed on my own. It was then that I spotted it. There was a button on it that said 'Lower'. My heart leapt. I knew if I pushed the button and lost weight I would be stealing their scale. I pushed the button with my toe. Nothing changed. It was then I realized that 'Lower' was the brand name. Crap!

Let's hope it doesn't say too much! I'm in the waiting room as I type this. Is it sad I'm more looking forward to the weigh in more than anything? &&with weighing in daily I'm kinda obsessive about it.. even after I go to the bathroom I hop on just outta curiosity lol. But, weekly would show more results. Good morning to you all and let's have a good fat busting day!

i like to weigh in the morning- maybe 3-4 x a week- it helps me to see it go up so i can see that eating to much salt or not getting in my water make a difference- that being said- i only log 1x a week i right the others in my journal everyone is different in what works for them
