Draglist's Journal, 15 September 2014

As feared, the water weight skyrocketed as I ate with reckless abandon over the past five days. Crazy thing is, what I ate was not that far outside what many folks eat these days (in content or amount). So basically 25 lbs. of water weight gained in five days. Forgot to write down the Tanita numbers this morning but they clearly point to the extra water. Will record them tonight. Time to get busy again!
221.2 lb Lost so far: 103.8 lb.    Still to go: 16.2 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

You said, "Crazy thing is, what I ate was not that far outside what many folks eat these days (in content or amount).", maybe what IS crazy is what many folks eat these days. Period. The fact that eating with "reckless abandon" has become the new normal is the crazy part of the equation.

It's amazing how quick the weight can come back on but it is mostly water. When I first started here I dropped 7 lbs the first day as my body just dumped the liquid...I didn't record my weight that way because I thought people might not believe it. Maybe we're all human sponges. Good thing is you'll drop it off pretty quickly.

Aren't you glad it's mostly water? Stay positive.

That's great that you finally learned about yourself.

Wow! Skyrocket is right. You seem to be (like me) very salt sensitive and carbohydrate intolerant. I know that a small amount of added salt or salt-laden spices make me retain water like a sponge. And even a small amount of extra carbs over a few days will pack on the pounds. Well, I know that you know what to do now. Best wishes. Hope you have a great week.

You know... I don't even know how that's possible. It's like you're allergic to water.

Wow, amazing jump. Since it is mainly water weight, you will knock it right out. Too bad losing it won't be as much fun as getting it on. :) I have confidence in you!

Wow!! Quite a jump for you... wish you well on that...

You can do it, Bill!

Bill do not panic or do anything drastic- I think 333 calories for the day is too low, just reevaluate your food and drink intake and maybe a doctor visit may be in order/ You and Snezica are still my diet heros!!!!!
