Yesterday was a challenge to prevent mindless eating. I definitely busted my daily calories, but controlled the binge eating that my brain was pushing for. I focuses my energy into cooking, but forced myself to make it all healthy. I think my family was a little overwhelmed by the variety at dinner: corn on the cob (steamed in the microwave), roasted broccoli, garden salad with fresh raspberry vinaigrette (SP?), homemade raspberry applesauce, and then some BBQ pulled pork roast. LOL. It was the only way I could stay out of the junk - cook more veggies!

Now I have a fridge full of veggies to eat, I'm super excited. PLUS, the scale was 200.8 this morning! That is 1 full pound, 4 days before weigh day. I can keep that off! This morning was the first day that I've actually felt jealousy with my husband's progress. He just turns off his feelers, stops eating, and loses weight SO fast. It's not the healthiest way, but if he's eating with me, he's eating good foods. He is down almost 20 lbs in 3 weeks. It's not really a comparison when he started in the 300's - but still, I'd like to drop 4 lbs a week.

ENOUGH ABOUT WEIGHT AND FOOD! This weekend my family and I will be building an outdoor rabbit hutch! 2 years ago, this not so smart mommy promised a rabbit to my pre-teen. They are stinky little things to keep indoors. After one winter of daily cage cleaning and still a horrid stink, we released "Flicker" to the yard. Flicker has hung around the front and back yard for the last 4 months, getting fatter every week. He is technically wild, but I feel obligated to provide him a warm place to sleep, fresh water and some food to get through the Alaskan winter. I'm excited, this will be a great project for us!
