I added up my net calories (food calories minus activity calories) in the month view since my last weigh in and divided it by 3500 (amount of calories that equal a pound) and it came up with -4.5 lbs which tells me FS calculations are pretty accurate. Have to check out a few more weeks to confirm, but it tells me the time I spend trying to be as accurate and honest as possible is worth it.

Scratch that! Didn't work out with some other weeks I checked. One week I gained 1.4 pounds shows I should have lost and one week that I only lost .2 lbs showed I should have lost much more. Those two weeks were planned to fail weeks because of my planned activities during that time, the second was partly a recovery week, hence the gain and the minute loss. I would imagine the first week gain was mostly water weight from the drinking and the bad foods I was eating, so that would throw it off. The second week was probably still getting rid of some of the water weight. So my conclusion is that if your pretty consistent with eating good food, keep your body flushed by lower salt and drinking plenty of water, and exercise regularly, then these calculators will be more accurate.

Thanks Rock, finally starting to get to where I do the walking and exercise even on days that I don't want to do it. It's more or less becoming automatic. My walking pace has been steadily increasing, and I'm walking further. Had a little bump in the road with home exercise with a muscle strain, but plan to bump that up after I lose another 25 lbs. Doctor's appointment next month, hoping to be able to get off all my meds.

Awesome weight loss! Your doctor might just reduce the dosage of a medication, to taper it off slowly. Good luck!
