So much better day. AC was fixed at work. Straight to the gym after work, 1hour work out and left the gym at the same time I would normally be starting my workout. What a difference being able to go straight there. Did a few errands, home by 6:00. Dinner dill crusted salmon filet and baked sweet potato.

Decided to follow the lead of others and enter my workouts here, at least the gym ones.

Good for you! Exercise is so important to lose weight, but it is important for people in maintenance, to get the heart healthy exercise and keep muscles toned.

Deb, part of my journey is to exercise forever. I do NOT want a knee replacement, nor do I want all the osteoarthritis issues my mom had. I read Younger Next Year for Women. Believe me if you haven't read it read it, there is on for men also. It hits home the importance of exercise. Since about the end of June I've been bad about exercising consistently so back at it.

I'm glad you had a good day. Got yourself to the gym for a good work out. And... cooked a great dinner by the sound of it. My youngest son just returned from working/fishing in Alaska, and brought home an ice chest full of beautiful salmon. Can't wait to try some on the grill. Keep up the exercise at the gym! I might look up the book suggestion also! ttyl. K.

Ooooo, fresh caught salmon, oh yum. I would smoke one with a bit of apple wood. Used to do that, almost impossible to get whole salmon here anymore. Mine, just frozen 3.5-4 oz. fillets I buy by the case.

Deb, I think it was draglist who suggested the book to me. I checked it out from the library, may have to get my own copy. That's why I bought a bike, now I need to start riding it. I ran myself out of time re-camping my yard this year.

Amazing! I would put my workouts in my journal but it'd all be science fiction....your dinner sounds fabulous. Glad the A/C got fixed.

Bella, just trying it for a bit, I keep losing the dang notebooks I write them down in. LOL then I don't know if I'm doing better or worse.

Wow! Thanks for the book tip wholefoodnut! Had a quick look on Amazon and it looks quite good. Will try anything that could help me just that little more to loose the weight! Ordered the women version for now, not quite for my age group but I feel darn awful health and fitness wise so I think it will keep me mindful for years to come! Beter prevent than treat right? Well done on the work out! You're much fitter than me.. (ashamed right now...), but working with a fitness instructor at the mo so hopefully I'll spring back into shape soon! Keep it up, you're an inspiration! Best of luck!

Got the book and the journal! Read half already! Started writing in the journal as well! It's all common knowledge but so well written and compacted, with such a flair, that it gives you a complete new get-up energy and will to improve and live healthy! Thanks again!

YW, I loved getting the tip from Draglist. It just really makes you think about what you can do to make your life better physically and how that affects everything else. I need to buy a copy so I can write notes in it to myself and re-read it instead of getting on the waiting list at the library.

Yeah, definitely! A printed personal copy is best. I got mine in a great deal with the journal as well. I know the reviews on Amazon are quite bad for the journal, but it will work for me. Records a whole year which is handy and compact, rather than me starting to line up a notebook - just know myself!-it won't happen after a while... Plus if bought together, the last edition comes in a nice tidy carton box. Will definitely read again (to renew my commitment and enthusiasm)and certainly use it as reference all the time. Great little book!

Mmmmm a journal, didn't know about that.

If you take a look at the book on Amazon, you should see one of the links selling the book with the journal together. But before that just click on the journal link only so that you can take a look inside and see if you like it. I must say that it is quite small and it has 2 entries per page which makes it all very small and does not give very much space to be filled, but if you would like it for reference at the end of the year, you can develop your own abbreviations for the exercises , etc. I think the numbers, as well as overall consistency and your exercise trends, count the most. Its nice to fill in the goals and also see how your exercise regime changes over the year...Good luck with the plan! xoxo
