Yeah...... Whoopie O:-) the scales have registered a .5kg drop!

Yesterday I didn't have any milk, or cream for that matter - wouldn't it be lovely if I discover my problem is lactose - must do some research on this.

Also I have started to take (for the past two days) Vit D3, K2, and coQ10 - perhaps this also has a hand in in the drop.

Still this is a great birthday present for me today (3 score years +1), and tonight I'm being treated to my favourite food at an Indian Restaurant. Surprisingly the food is quite good for LCHF living. I'm really going to enjoy my tandoori chicken and my garlic naan. I expect the sodium content might be high, so I might not bother to get on the scales tomorrow lol!

I don't drink, so that's a blessing calorie wise.

Hope you are all having a great day x

Happy Birthday! Interesting if you do have a dairy intolerance. May not be lactose, could be the milk solids (casein and whey). I found after eliminating dairy completely for 4 weeks, when I had butter in my coffee (bulletproof!) I had gas and stomach pains. The next day I tried some feta (goats milk) cheese on my salad. No better. Best way to test is eliminate completely for 3 or 4 weeks, and then reintroduce one meal a day for three or four days. Unless you react right away, of course. Then wait a week and see if you get any symptoms. Sometimes it takes several days for the reaction to show up. If that is the case, you might be able to eat them on occasion, just not every day. I was surprised to learn that 70% of people have intolerances to eggs and dairy. Enjoy your dinner, and start the elimination later! Check out the JJVirgin.com website for info about elimination and testing. She has everything on there.

Thanks C (Big Hugs Back :-) ) Thanks again Yduj :-) Never really thought of the casein and whey. Thinking about it, a couple of months ago before I started my present way of eating, I tried a sort of intermittent diet. For 3 days I had three whey protein powder meals a day, but the three meals were divided into 9 so I had a scoop of the powder in water every one and half hours. It worked out about 400 cals for the whey protein days - the result was abysmal, after a week I'd put weight on! This is very interesting - thanks very much for the pointers. No more milk for a few weeks! Thanks x

It is crazy how our body can react if we have an intolerance. You may have figured it out!

By the way, if you do have a dairy intolerance, it is not too hard to make ghee so you can still use it on your veggies, or for cooking! For me, it is worth the time and effort. :)
