The less you eat, does your stomach shrink (eventually) along with it? Or is that just a wives tale...

Yes, it's true that your stomach will shrink but you want it to happen naturally. If you begin to restrict your calories too low, you will initially lose weight and nutrition. Eventually, your body thinks something's wrong and your metabolism will slow down - forcing you to restrict even more to lose. All of this will lead to metabolic damage. I did it to myself when I was younger. There's a sweet spot for calories and exercise, and it's usually a lot higher than we think. We just need to think longterm - a lifestyle change. It's so much easier to manage that way. I hope this wasn't too long winded.

I agree with Grumen on calorie and exercise levels - there's a sweet spot. I think most overdo exercise, but then I'm a big believer in diminishing returns. Same with diet - at some point you've taken away so much you can lose muscle which will slow your metabolism. Shrinking the stomach isn't as necessary as putting good stuff in it is.
