Not the best food today, not enough veggies and had the last 1/2 cup of the ice cream. Still have more calories to use but not hungry.

Should mow the grass, might have to bale it soon; hot, humid, high mold and pollen not doing tonight. No need to trigger asthma issues, had enough of that late week. Need to go downstairs and exercise for a bit.

Cut up a big pot of cucumbers, chopped a bunch of lime basil instead of mint to start a batch of wine, should turn into a fairly dry white wine with some interesting flavor from the basil. Quick stop on the way home from work to get the yeast nutrient I need at the brew shop, have everything else including some champagne yeast. Seems like a better plan since I always end up with soggy pickles.

Haven't made wine since last spring. Several people I know at the lake make what they call hillbilly wine made with bread yeast which is really sweet and usually not very good. They have never had any of mine and have been asking for me to bring some. Hopefully it will turn out good.

Smart not triggering asthma. Happy exercising downstairs. ~ I did go down and get that tote of cake decorating supplies last night. It shouldn't seem like such an achievement, but until we have the stairway rebuilt (hopefully this fall) I dread using it.

I'm a city girl and all that sounds so amazing to me how you make your own wine. Enjoy your day, you deserve it. Tomorrow is another day.

Oooo stairway issues, be careful.. I'm also in the city, used to live in the country. Have a few veggies, lots of herbs and flowers in my yard. I started making beer and wine in the late 1980's, haven't made any for awhile because if I make it I will drink it. I like to try different ingredients and see what they turn out to be. Fruit and veggie wine doesn't cost much as I have had the equipment for years, beer is more expensive due to the malt.

Wine with a hint of basil, that would be interesting - would love to taste some :-)
