ChrisSpark's Journal, 18 August 2014

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all the support on my "blues day" journal post. My mood is better, it really helps to hear from people that struggle with the same challenges and really "get it" !! Bless you all!

Wore myself out this weekend so I had a little slip off the wagon last night, but I didn't go over my daily calorie expenditure of 3000, so I am going to let myself off the hook...I am going to blame fatigue and the d*** fibromyalgia pain for my weakness.

Considering I was out and about with a friend and her son and didn't succumb to our usual fast food habits, I am choosing to be proud of myself. Cooked a whole chicken in the slow-cooker for our dinner (could have tasted better - screwed up and added a lemon to the vegetables and it was very bitter) and took my homemade zucchini muffins when we went shopping so we wouldn't buy fast food. Then, after they left for the night I slipped and binged on the two pieces of cheesecake that I reserved (gave the balance to them so I wouldn't eat it). Oh well, it's the first major slip since I started this journey on June 27 and I've made a lot of changes and cooked a lot of new things. My friend and her son went to town on my homemade Naan bread, which was gratifying...and made up for the awful chicken, lol.

Wishing everyone a good day!

Thanks pwrestlephoto, it is nice to be feeling better. I have to try not to let the numbers on the scale get me down and remember that I doing this for life! Oh yuck, the humidity! I am so amazed we have not had to deal with that this summer, it's usually the norm for summers in SW Ontario, but we have some headed this way it appears. I hibernate more in the summer heat than I do in the winter.
