South Beach question: I've had a good first week on SBD. Down 5 pounds since Monday morning, and it's just Saturday! Since it's gotten warmer outside, I've been working out like it's my job and loving every minute. Any suggestions about sugar-free candy or sugar-free, reduced-fat ice cream? I know it slows weight loss on Atkins, but since your body isn't in ketosis on SBD, would it slow down weight loss on this diet? I've had some this week and my weight's been the same since Thursday. Just wondering if any of the experts had advice. :-)

The SBD book says to eat no more than 75 calories worth of s/f candy or s/f fudgecicles. I eat the Blue Bunny brand s/f fudgecicles because 2 of them are 70 calories. I also found s/f chewy candies at my local Dollar Tree that are really tasty.

WOW, 5 pounds, that's freakin amazing! what are you doing exactly? I'm starting to think I'm doing the whole thing wrong. I've only lost 3 in two weeks. As far as sugar-free goes, it can't be sugar free cookies (found that out the hard way) Baskin Robbins has awesome sugar free hard candy with very few calories (for when you're craving but don't really need anything) The jello sugar free pudding is amazing as well and it has 60 calories (just enough for one a day and a few sugar free hard candies) Keep up the ~awesome~ work!
