kitty-eared-girl's Journal, 06 August 2014

Its the little victories that keep me going. I've been super hungry lately, even on days where I don't exercise. Typically after dinner I end up having some sort of snack, but last night I was so good! I finished my bottle of water and basically told the calorie devil on my should to bugger off. Went to bed and skipped the additional calories.

And just now (at work), went to the break room, looked over my options, and decided that it wasn't worth it, despite feeling hungry.

I've been going back to the gym at work recently because my toes have started to ache from my running (I have flat arches, which can cause occasional stress fractures), so the elliptical is the current weapon of choice.

Our friend's wedding is a week from Saturday. Let's see if I can drop a little more weight before then.

Happy Wednesday!

I've been starving lately too - went over on calories today but at least it was sushi and not a double cheeseburger =P Sounds like you're doing great!

It sounds like you are doing great! A little advice I do have is to stock up on some healthy/low cal snacks so that when you do get hungry, you don't have to deprive yourself completely. Too much deprivation leads to a binge - for me at least!

Also, I find protein keeps me fuller than other options. Or the oatmeal at breakfast instead of a sugary cereal....

@megmonster - I actually picked up some bananas on our last trip to the grocery store, so the last late night snack I did was a banana with a serving of peanut butter @akaladybug - I agree completely with the protein! With the exception of the awful nights where we opt for pizza (which really isn't all that often) I'm careful to try and balance protein w/ veggies and starches.

Keep focused on your goal weight. Remember we did not get overweight overnight so it takes time to get the weight off. We need to take it one day at a time and sometimes one minute at a time.
