I have lost a pound I was hoping for more but it is something and better than a gain. We went to the gym to just weigh in and Chelsea told me I needed to workout so that I could get my muscles back or I won't grow. So I got on the elliptical for 5 minutes and then she wanted help with the weights so I helped her and I lifted for almost half an hour. She wanted to go swimming but I didn't take our swimsuits with us so she settled for the gym. She is doing better with trusting her life jacket and enjoying the water. I know it will take time, but I am impatient as well. I am having her work on putting her face in the water in the bathtub since she feels safe in there. I am hoping to get to ride again tonight, but we will have to see. I still have to clean the church and I am already wore out. The owner of stable has a 20 something year old horse that is dead broke and said the kids can ride her if want to let them ride with us. It will make it better and safer to put them on a different horse while we are exercising our stubborn mules of horses. Leah is back stepping instead of progressing with her training and I am hoping it is just her heat cycle that is causing her to be cranky. I know a lady that I buy herbs from for the horses and she has an herb that is supposed to help mares with their heat cycles so they are not so cranky. We are going to measure them tonight to find out how much they weigh and adjust their feed accordingly. We haven't measured them in a while and I know it is going to show that Leah is on too low of a ration, but she is built like a brick house and weighs a ton. If we up her food she will gain too much for her legs to hold. She is short and stocky with little legs. She is cute and a load of fun, but stubborn as a pony. Well I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and get outside this weekend if it is nice. We are going to the Farm show and the Horse Sales Saturday.
