Today really isn't my official weigh in day but I had to take a peak. I'm using a new scale this week and sort of getting familiar with it. It's a Tanita scale so I hope it's more accurate and consistent than the old one I had. Anyway, I'm pleased to see that it shows I'm losing weight. I'm about 4 lbs away from reaching the 120s :) I am a little worried though that it showed a lower muscle weight. Hinting me that perhaps I am losing fat but also some muscle along with it. I realize the scale might not be the most accurate way of measuring my body fat so I plan to get my hands on a pair of calipers this week. I want to lose weight, but I want to lose the fat more than anything. I want to keep my muscle and I hope exercise will help with that.

I realize that I feel better when I eat balanced meals so from now on, in addition to watching portions/calories/WW points I will add different meats or protein sources to my meals. I tended to have high carb meals. Perhaps the only meal that would incorporate a fair amount of protein was my dinner. So I think that the protein, along with a portion of carbs and a fat serving (like an avocado or olive oil) will help me feel good throughout the entire day.

On I go with my plans. I'm learning so much about this whole process and about how my body works so I'm thankful.

4 pounds away, That is awesome!! I saw the 120's for the first time in forever a few days ago, it is the most exciting feeling! I know you will get there too. Adding more protein and cutting out some of the carbs will definately help! Best of luck, keep up the great work!
