Hey Chakalina's Journal, 29 July 2014

Woohoo! 4 good days in a row. I'm feeling great. Gosh, so moody- up and down, up and down. I spent some time reading yesterday, mostly fluff about being more mindful and aware. I'm excited to begin a FS Challenge today. I kinda started yesterday, just to get a feel for how I'll meet all the mini-challenges. It felt really good. This is my second time around using FS and I'm much more involved with the journaling and it has helped to make a big difference. Studying others' food diaries and journals helps me to see that so many of us share the same struggles and it makes this experience more meaningful. It's so wonderful to see so many people practicing discipline, meeting goals, and encouraging each other.

I ate well yesterday. I felt hungry many times throughout the day and I know that means the scale will go down. Yesterday was an especially powerful day for me. I finally began that workout DVD. It's been exactly one month since I changed my eating habits and I expect that this working out business will really get me through the next stage. I'm doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. It's an old workout that really toned me up a couple years ago. It was really tough for me yesterday, specifically the push-ups, jumping rope, and the ab move where you keep your legs off the floor. I took a few 5-second breaks and skipped some moves when I thought my heart was about to explode out of my chest. I was so sweaty. My arms and butt are a bit achy today.

I have a good meals planned for today. I will workout. I will drink plenty of water. I will eat a salad in place of a meal, I will meditate.
