skinnyminniemonique's Journal, 28 July 2014

ChristyLa is kicking butt! So I'm really going to try to be more faithful in my journal entries.
I'm doing really well though.I had to force myself to get up this morning to workout. It was really hard (this is what I get for getting caught up in a good book and going to bed late), but I did it and I'm better for it. I've started doing Jillian Michaeals 6 week abs, which is a change for me. I'm 7 months past back surgery and haven't done sit ups or any type of crunch since. That's why Shaun T was so ideal, but I feel good so far with Jillian. I'll be glad when I can run again. I miss it.

As for my meals. I've started researching more recipes from Pintrest that are high in protein and fiber. I've completely cut out coffee (yippee)! And now I'm working on cutting down on my bread intake - it's my weakness and probably the reason why my weight has not moved in sometime. So we'll see how this goes!

It sounds like you're doing great! I'm happy to hear your back is recovering well. I have a hard time getting enough fiber, because I wasn't eating enough vegetables. I hope to change that with my new goal of a salad a day and more veggies in general :) Amazing job quitting the coffee! Caffeine is a drug, so you should be very proud of yourself. Maybe there are some low-carb breads you could have in the meantime? I used to use low-carb pita bread for my sandwich every day :) Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the idea about the low-carb breads. I'll have to look into that because I do love me some peanut butter sandwiches (half of a sandwich of course)!
