Really nervous about making the choice to post my journey publicly and completely unabridged, but I feel that it is the only way to really hold myself accountable.

I have nearly no support at home. My husband prefers a fluffier wife while my body has had enough. I'm 27 and feel 60. Knee, ankle and back pain each and every day is hardly what I'd consider normal wear and tear and so it's time to step it up.

Any and all comments, tips and advice is greatly appreciated. I'm a recovering yo-yo/fad dieter and may need more help than I'm realizing :)

Blessed Be.

One of the most important aspects to weight loss is to realize that this is a never ending journey and there is no ticker tape parade waiting for us when we get to goal. You will ALWAYS have to watch what you eat. Once I made peace with that, it enabled me to start making small changes that I can live with the rest of my life. Weight loss is hard! Maintaining is hard. You are smart to take it off now, because it will be more difficult as you get older. It's about living a long quality filled life. Find a plan you can live with and is sustainable for the long haul. If you mess up, get back on plan the next meal (not the next day). One meal doesn't make us fat. Once you have the diet down, add in activity. Go out for walks. Slap on a pedometer and aim for 10,000 steps a day. Get some workout videos and do them in your home. Many are short and kick butt. Try some from local library. Try new recipes. Some great sites: Skinnytaste.com, Emilybites.com Laaloosh.com Cookinglight.com Be proactive and read and learn as much about nutrition and fitness as you can. There is lot's of contradictory info out there so you use what works and applies to your life. Good luck!
