I have recently learned that when you are doing a keto type diet it takes 3 to 5 days to enter ketosis which is fat burning mode. If you eat too many carbs it knocks you out of that and your body goes back to burning glucose, not fat burning mode. So it's important to not 'cheat' at all if you want to keep up your progress.

Yesterday I averaged 100g fat, 64 protein, and 35 carbs, though I think my carbs were actually lower, and I lost .6 pounds. I am having yesterday, in the middle of the night, and this morning, a keto headache and stomach uncomfortableness.

I read yesterday to avoid or minimize 'keto flu' the following suggestions: include some coconut oil, easier fat for body to breakdown into fuel, eat some yogurt to help your stomach with transition, and drink plenty of water.

I have found for me also that I tend to crave some peanut butter, and when I have a tablespoon it helps me to feel better.
140.1 lb Lost so far: 15.9 lb.    Still to go: 0.1 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
