Ok guys, so I have been absent for quite a while....I was doing well tracking my meals, working out, etc...then I got busy with life, made excuses etc. Just got back from vacation so I am up in weight a bit from my last weigh in, but no biggie. The day I left for vacay I was able to get a pair of jeans on that I haven't been able to wear for 12 years. I count that as a win. Now, back on track...picked up a new app for the ipod called Couch to 5k....it's AWESOME! I set a goal for myself, I would like to participate in a 5k within the next year (and run the entire way). This app has already helped me considerably. I am working on week 2 even though this is my 3rd week doing the program. I repeated the 1st week once as my stamina is VERY poor right now. I have missed seeing all of your stories, check-ins etc and am looking forward to being a part of your lives again :)

Welcome back. Put the gain behind you and move forward with your health goals. That's great that you have the goal of a 5K. Losing more weight will make it easier to run, so that should motivate you in that regard too :) Keep up the training!

Welcome back!!! Acknowledge your set backs without punishing yourself, and stay focused! Think of how positive and gray it is that you are back in the game with your Couch to 5k app. They are so fun. Try looking for awesome 5ks. There are some with people dressed as zombies, some where you get paint splashed on you, some with live music, and some with mud dips. That's so great that you found a new thing to do. Have a blast!

I LOVE the Couch to 5k app! I had never really run a day in my life and now thanks to that app I can run 30 minutes straight (on a good day, haha!). It's amazing how well it builds your endurdance.

What a great goal! I don't aspire to running. It's hard on my joints and my back HATES it, so I'll stick to fast walking. Still, I admire anyone who does so. Welcome back!

You are going to love that Couch to 5k program. And believe me, you'll be able to do a 5k before the end of THIS year if you stick with it. I wonder if there is a 5k Turkey Trot that you can set you sights on for Thanksgiving?! Congrats on the pants, and keep it up!

Hi Kari, & welcome back. Your goal to complete a 5k run sounds fantastic, & YOU CAN DO IT! It feels soooo gooood to be able to fit into clothes that you haven't worn in years, doesn't it? My oldest DD did a 5k "Color Run/Walk" a couple of months ago. She walked, pushing a stroller with a friend's baby in it. It was her 2nd time doing this run, & she enjoyed it so much. She didn't even come close to 1st, but was happy getting dowsed with colors along the way, & that there were lots of other people behind her at the end, so she didn't come in last. These events are a great encouragement for those who can do them, & I hope that one day I can join my DD in doing that color run. Keep your eyes on the prize gal, I see your "victory lap" coming up in the near future! Hugs, Glammer
